A couple weird driving routes. Start in Tahoe, then drive to WA, and go down the CA coast? Play in Georgia, and stop in New Jersey on the way to North Carolina?

Build an MSG there!!!!!

I'm gonna butthurt out for a second, but I'm getting kind of sick of this shit.  I don't need them to play Kentucky, but seeing the same 8 places on every tour announcement is getting real old.  Good for Page, though, glad he can cut the crusts off sandwiches and put personalized messages in lunch bags or whatever the hell it is that he does 300 days a year.    Big shout to Camden for having Mike's favorite artisanal kambucha stand and haberdashery.  This band blows.

In before somebody tells me to calm down, it's a wide ranging tour because they haven't played Raleigh in 18 months or whatever.

Hasn't a short tour like this been pretty much standard for Phish 3.0?

Its all a little too neat and organized.  Like the venues, but needs some additional ones and curveball spots thrown in for another 3 weeks or so of touring.

Ugh, fucking Camden. Guess I'll shoot for those Merriweather dates instead, a two hour ride south beats NJ every damn time.

Do it.  I am just waiting on the wife’s final plans for her friends’ trip this summer.  If they plan it right, I will be flying solo for Raleigh > MPP and looking to hang with some cool osyrus folk.

They would, but Page has Pure Barre on Wednesdays.

Why would they tour more?  They don't need new fans.  They all have loads of money.  Their merch ops alone will sustain their kids.  Why would they stress themselves out year in and year out with big tours stopping in nondescript venues?

Choose a destination.  Make plans and pimp that trip out.  This is actually MORE dates than I expected.

As opposed to multi-night runs at such notable venues as a temporary stage in a casino parking lot and...Camden?

After 16 nights in New York out of the last 20 or so, I'd guess they have some capacity left for tour planning stress.

he's got a point

Maybe he does, but it's gotten to the point where Phish says if you live in the middle of the country, you can either drive 6 hours, pay $400 for a plane ticket (on top of $80) or kick rocks.  And with responsibilities, that's not as heady at 34 as it was at 24.
