    Phish Summer 2018 Tour

This is where I am at too. Save my money for a week of full-on tunes at Telluride Bluegrass with my family or go frugal and week of camping in Cali Redwoods. Either way, its a new experience and money feels as though gonna go way farther for us all. Really wish could hit some shows, but life be life.

    Phish Summer 2018 Tour

One reason I basically can never hit a show anymore. My 20 year old self hates my 40 year old self.

    Phish Summer 2018 Tour

Being from Philly, since that venue was built I always hated it. It is a summer shed built to have indoor winter shows. So the under-the-hood space is totally enclosed. You cannot catch any air inside whatsoever. The parking lot is atrocious with its stacked garage. Way too many times just sitting and waiting post-show to get the f out of there so after a few times I caught on to taking ferry from Philly across the river to the venue. Parking $ in Philly + Ferry $. Adds up fast. The security are just jerks. Beer lines always feel long. And the crowd often is sketch. Yes, very much seems oversold. Had lawn seats to Phish in 2000 and remember barely finding a patch to rest on; everyone felt on top of me. And another night had shitty seats under the roof and spent much of the night fending off folks hopping down from lawn to join me. That whole venue just sucks. I have passed on tons of shows because I just have little to desire to go to that venue. Why not play the Mann for 3 nights?

    Phish Summer 2018 Tour

Hasn't a short tour like this been pretty much standard for Phish 3.0? Its all a little too neat and organized. Like the venues, but needs some additional ones and curveball spots thrown in for another 3 weeks or so of touring.

Like NCAA signing date for college recruits, summer festivals and tour dates should all be announced on the exact same date so we can make plans accordingly. I got flights to book and hotels to reserve. Get on it.

I recall this show well. Probably my favorite set live. Somehow, I found my way from 1st level to 8th row or so on Page side, on floor. I realized at setbreak I had to take a pisser, but didn't have a ticket to get back to this glorious seat. As I went up the aisle steps on first level I look down and see a ticket just sitting there. I pick it up. It was for the 8th row seat I had noodled my way into!!! As set is about to start chit chatting w the dude beside me who had been on tour for a bit. He calls Tweezer opener. I tell him I have not seen tons of shows and never caught one live, but also never loved the song that much anyway. He thought I had four heads after saying that. Boom, lights off, opening riffs... best set... Mea culpa to the dude in the 8th row.

There was nothing to regret. It was a hot mess and terrible acoustics.
