Phish New Year’s at MSG: 12/28-31

Ugh. That's crazy. When I first tried for tickets, I'm pretty sure those Platinum tickets were not showing up at all. I think I'd rather give my business to a regular hard working scalper, or even a bot-style fake scalper, than pay some ticketmaster "platinum" priced BS. To be continued....

Nice. Well, at least someone I know got through. Somehow that helps the sting of rejection. BTW do you have any extras? I see that "Platinum" seats are available, starting at ~$150+.. WTF?

Just a stand up firm doing a stand up job.

Ugh, same here.... I will keep trying throughout the afternoon just in case. But dang. WHY IS THIS BAND SO POPULAR?!?

Snoozed on that as well but will be trying today. If I can score extras, I'll certainly grab them and let you know @teenagewasteland... I think we're trying for Sunday and Monday/NYE.

Wait, negative rewards are a thing?!? The scandal related to this cancellation just goes deeper and deeper. Can you imagine the call center folks taking those phone calls? Phestival explanation > cancellation / devastation > WHERE ARE MY POINTS

    Phish Rumor Thread

So that's at least 2, maybe 3, pulling hard for Kentucky. I really don't see why phish doesn't make this happen ETA, a pop up concert would be really cool. Would also piss off lots of people who couldn't make it, but that's happening regardless. I kinda doubt it, but phish constantly surprises me!

Maybe pretty sure they reference two giant/popular facebook groups built around phish. Kind of like this board, but on facebook -- plus more people and more bitching/moaning. And some funny memes. I don't think I'm members of those but am aware.

The whole second hand ticket thing is gonna cause so much ruckus... 😩 A lot of people will try to get the refund to the buyer. But a lot won’t. What a mess. I like the free webcasts and I like the charitable giving aspect with the merch. I think they’re doing the best they can. No one is enjoying this or making money off this, so I don’t get all the hostility and luckily haven’t seen much of it myself. Of course, all easy to say for me, I didn’t schlep up to NY and back without seeing my band... 🙁

The chaos behind the scenes must be so intense right now... so much to be dealt with and figured out, etc. After what must have been a VERY intense week. I really feel for everyone involved... and obviously the band must be crushed. I have no doubt they'll make it up to ticketholders in some awesome way, but you know how much they LOVE this stuff. This was THEIR THING. It must hurt like a motherfucker right now. And I hope all our senators are doing OK! Thinking of you all! Hope you are making the most of a crappy situation and staying safe up there---I know you'll have some good stories.

Man, what crazy news. Really feel bad for everyone involved. I don’t even know what else to say. 😓 Hope everyone is safe tonight getting home

Glamping = thousands (ballers only need apply tho--obv) If we went we'd probably be looking into RVs, like the good mini-ballers we are. And we party like thousandaires. So there's multiple ways to answer your question, to be honest. (((Money is not my issue personally, but surely if it costs $450 to get in the door, you can expect to spend at least 1K overall. Or at least that's how we do it. You wooks suit yourself. )))

Didn't you see the bed option, for a mere $2,345 ($1,172.50 per person)? It sounds like it will be another awesome Phish event, no doubt, but I admit I'm struggling to feel interested... too many fantasies of incredible places I've wanted to visit, where ~2.5--3K would make for an amazing vacation. I'd LOVE to go glamping somewhere but Watkins Glen, NY has not topped the list of fantasy locations quite yet. Also, I've now already spent hundreds of dollars for 3 nights of Phish including a weekend away directly before the fest. Gotta love a strategy that ensures they sell out their full tour first. Guess you could say I'm squarely on the fence but trending "no" I'll go ahead and help myself over to the "Signs you're getting old" thread, or maybe the travel forum. Can anyone tell me if there's anything awesome about the location I should be aware of as I form my final opinion?
