I think our kitchen setup trumps GC, just sayin'... J/K, I can totally understand why someone would do that if they have that much extra scratch to throw around, it sounds pretty nice. I definitely remember taking a few showers at Magna, but yeah there was a bit of a wait. I guess standing around in the sunshine at festy with a mimosa and people watching while in line doesn't seem like that huge a hassle to me. I like the idea of really not having that much of a timeline and not feeling the need to rush or deal with logistical planning. I'm just there. We actually camped in family camping last time and it was pretty awesome. Not loud, very chill, cool kids, great neighbors, the BEST food. We plan to do that again actually. I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to stay up until dawn getting crazy. Yeah, I'm old. So?

I don't get why GC is all that much better. It's closer..... and what? Free handjobs or something? Seriously though, what's all that great about it? @teenagewasteland you did GC last time... was it that much better than our digs?

Yeah @Greta, we'll be there too! I totally get not wanting to go for the price (though camping only $250 for the weekend..... ) or because the venue isn't appealing (agree with @cappy, the surrounding area is beautiful, the amenities are tight, not to mention NY has mild AF summer weather) or because you don't like fun, but..... THE PEOPLE. I already know at least 2 dozen people ramping up for the thing, and that's more friends than I almost ever get to see at one time. That alone has me excited. This could be a 3-day crocheting fair, but if 20 people I KNOW are cool are gonna be there? Sign me up!

    License plate

I've always always wanted DNTPANIC on mine and I actually saw someone recently on my commute that had it. On more than one occasion. Instead of being jealous, I kinda just want that person to be my friend.

NYE 2017 - Long Awaited Return to The Garden

You're gonna get a W-2 for ONE day of work in 2017 from that place. Such weird timing on their part! ETA: assuming it's a M-F job, of course...

How early would you say? They will be travelling in from Brooklyn...

I guess my brother and his wife are headed there for NYE proper... he was wondering what the logistics are like on that day? Should he hang around Manhattan all day so that MSG could be walkable if need be? I think he's worried about traffic/trains being crammed. Anyone have experience they could lend?

Yeah family camping was fun as hell. We met a nice family next to us and they and their kids were super cool, we all shared food and drink. People in family camping don't stay up until 4am being all loud and unruly, they're up with tunes cooking breakfast and mixing up mimosas at 8am in the sunshine.... SO NICE. Would definitely recommend.
