Can't get anything past this dude. In point of fact, Tahoe is home to no giant serpents or hovering islands. I checked snopes and shit.

i never have phish dreams but i had one last night. they were playing providence park here in portland, home of the Timbers. they opened with PYITE, played birds in the first set and there was a trey narration with a rotation jam in set 2. edit: remembering more abstract of the dream, there was a segment : steve (?) -> rotation jam -> clerks (the movie?) .. bizarre.

A few awesome shows from the mid-90s fell on 7/16 and I thought I may as well give them a shout-out today: 1.) https://phish.in/1994-07-16/run-like-an-antelope 7/16/94 Sugarbush. The 2nd set started with a totally out of this world Antelope>Catapult>Antelope. One of the best ever and just the funkiest slinkiest Catapults too. Bonus Fishman inappropriate comment remark. 2.) https://phish.in/1993-07-16/harry-hood 7/16/93 Second show of the 93 summer tour. The Mann Center show is really spectacular and was a wake-up call to the fans that the band was on fire. The Hood is worth a listen - just perfect and a SBD too.

TIL people are just now finding out about MonoNeon. Dude has been crushing jazzfest late nights for a few years now. He was in Prince's Paisley Park After Hours band, and went to Berklee, I think. Dude is really just a huge nerd, y'all.

    Phish Summer 2018 Tour

As far as this value for the money/opportunity cost discussion goes, I'm kinda in agreement with the notion that it is becoming too pricey and logistically difficult to see many shows anymore. To that end, I've missed everything since the last time they were in the southeast a couple years ago, I guess. That said, I'll hit all three Alpharetta shows this summer because I can drive there (only 2 1/4 hrs drive) and I can stay with friends in the city. That definitely cuts down the costs, for sure. With a little diligence and a modicum of responsibility, I can also manage the weekend and only miss 1/2 a day of work on Friday and 1/2 a day on Monday. And, as someone mentioned above, hanging with some folks I don't usually get to see is worth the effort. In fact, I'll see two of my brothers that weekend, which is awesome. I'm lucky if I see them once a year. So, thanks, Phish?
