I want this "tree" be help those who don't have much of a show collection (including myself) and also for those who have one started to be able to expand on. If you have shows you would like to throw into the pot and you have a DVD burner, list said shows here (to keep repeats down) and then mail them to either me or Palmer. Please trade only shows in lossless formats (ex. shn & flac.). We'll take the shows we want/need and then start the trickle down of the tree.
We will try to keep track of which DVDs with which shows are in rotation and whose gotten what so you don't get repeats. I'm thinking this will start out small, but hopefully it will catch on expand and we'll have more than a few DVDs floating around at any given time. If you have any questions, feel free to post them. We will explain things better if needed.

do the dvd's burn just the same as a cdr, but only they have more space for fitting music? Is a dvd burner necessary of can you use a cd burner with the dvd? Sorry kinda new at this.

A DVD burner will be necessary to burn DVDs, but you can read off of them with a DVD-Rom as far as I know. If you can watch DVD's on your 'puter than you can benefit from these discs. Hopefully that will work for most people, but if not we can always sort something out and we could send you the files on other media.
Like harry said, just send us your addresses and let us know if you want to contribute shows. I think the beauty of this will be that instead of having 'project 93' etc...we can help spread the tastiest of shows.
Ah...my first batch of shows will be:
DVD #2
8.1.99
5.22.94
8.24.93
2.20.93
6.26.95
That is assuming it all fits on 2 DVD's...I'll update any changes.

I'm all for adding more to the list as it goes along. So say I get the DVD after 5 people down the line. It's the same DVD that was sent out in the beginning of the list, for argument's sake. Now, I want to add 2 shows. I can either save the exisiting shows from DVD #1 to my hard drive and then re-burn them to a new blank DVD, along with my own shows that I want to add if space allows. Or, I can send off the original DVD #1 with a second DVD containing the shows that I want to add to the tree. Does that make sense?
I guess if you are burning shows in SHN or FLAC or even WAV, they will take up a lot of space on a DVD (which holds 4.7 GB). By the end of the tree, the mailer could contain several DVDs, but the cost of shipping is still minimal, so it wouldn't matter.

Personally, I think you should send out DVD 1 to the next person in line and send either Harry_Hood or myself the DVD('s) you want to add to the rotation, that way we keep new blood circulating and we can keep the tunes flowing through everybody. Thoughts?

Sure man. You don't have to contribute to be a part of this Tree. The idea is to get shows to people who don't have many. If you can contribute, great, but if not it's cool.
Anyone interested, PM myself & Harry_Hood your address.
