I am just looking for some songs that I can learn how to play and do some very minimal solo work on. I've been working on "Loser" for a while now and just starting messing around on some soloing yesterday. Can you list some other jam friendly songs that I might have in my library that I could load into my slow-downer and learn the song and have some room to tinker on the Am pentatonic scale?

Go!
"In my defense, I was peeing on my sister, who went to Auburn. " - Zander

"I was playin in Mobile, Alabama. Spookiest place I ever was. They had pictures of men with animals heads on em. Pictures of men with birds heads on em. I'm tellin ya it was a spooky thing...... That's where the Mardi Gras started. More witches and warlocks in Mobile than there is anywhere in America. Everybody thinks it's Salem, but its not. Mobile." - Doyle Brunson

Most bluegrass songs are in either C or G.

Here are some free practice downloads. They are basically full band backing track so you can jam away. Just look up which ones are in your favorite keys.

in the live setting, Waste is not in C.

I did not know that. Really?

What's the story there? Seems kind of an odd thing to do, switching keys from the album to the live setting.

I'm pretty sure it's in D live. That's the key I play it in, anyways. Easier for me than in C.
"And that, I think, was the handle — that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting — on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. . . . So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark — that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back." I agree. Something about droning the open D, I think.

Still, it could probably use a little more whammy, IMO.
