Welcome

Oceans of Osyrus is a web community loosely based around the band Phish. A wide variety of topics are discussed in our forums, from music, art, and film, to culinary delights and world travel. We also encourage up and coming musicians, photographers, and artists to use the sites resources to promote and inform the public about their creative works. You can host your own blogs, serve your own music, and sell goods, all within Osyrus.

Streaming Phish Archive

Osyrus hosts a selection of Phish shows streaming for your listening pleasure. We also offer some of the more popular shows in a downloadable, lossless format. Our flash based Arcade has dozens of games to waste your time with, and if you need to brush up on your guitar skills, or are learning for the first time, our lessons can help.

Once registered on the forums, you have access to all areas of the site. We hope you enjoy your ride on the open seas of Osyrus...

RIP JERRY COOK - 12/18/72 - 09/16/09

Jerry Cook Jerry Cook

A longtime member of the Osyrus community passed away this fall. Jerry was known to most on our forums by his handle LoungeFunk, his humor and personality will be sorely missed, and our deepest condolences go out to his family during this time of loss.

He was a previous resident of Longview, graduated from Ross Sterling High School in 1991, received a Bachelors of Science Degree from Texas A&M in 1995 and was working as a Sales Representative for Comcast Cable. Jerry had a very spiritual nature and his life evolved around his children. He loved music, playing in the #6 Band and spending time with his friends. Survivors include his children, Clayton Rivers and Makenna Cook of Baytown; parents, Shirley and Elton Boyett of Baytown and Bob and Sue Cook of Cloud Croft, New Mexico; grandmother, Norma Cook of Houston; sister, Deanne Wagner and her husband Tom of Frisco, Texas; niece and nephew, Tess Wagner and Sevy Wagner of Frisco; aunts and uncles, Patsy and James Perran of Goodrich, James Holder of Baytown and Judy and Jeff Gale of Houston and many cousins.

Jerry shared much of his life with us, stories from home and work, a passion for NASCAR, and of course his love of music. He was a part of this community for many years, we will never forget you.

If you would like to honor him, and his love of music, you can make a donation to The Mockingbird Foundation in his name. In the comments section please be sure to include Jerry Cook, as it will direct the donation to his memorial. Mockingbird is a non-profit charity that helps fund music education for children.
